I joined the Frederic Remington Art Museum in July 2024 as Communications Manager, becoming the museum's sole marketing department overnight. Everything on this page, print design, email marketing, social media, photography, event campaigns, donor communications, and e-commerce, was produced and managed by me while the museum simultaneously underwent a major rebrand, under the guidance of myself as well as the Executive Director, and its largest exhibition project in recent history.
The work spans two distinct eras: materials produced before the new brand was finalized and materials produced after, where I applied the new visual identity consistently across every touchpoint. Both required the same thing: translating a nationally significant cultural institution into something that feels relevant, inviting, and worth supporting.
Membership Brochure
Print Design - Brand Application - Copywriting - Photography
The membership brochure is a primary touchpoint for both prospective and returning members, distributed at the front desk, handed out at events, and included in donor correspondence. This trifold had to do something tricky: introduce the museum's brand new visual identity while still feeling familiar to longtime supporters who have a deep attachment to the institution's history.
I designed both sides using the Remington Museum of Art's new logo, color palette, and typography, making this one of the first print pieces to fully adopt the refreshed brand. The exterior leads with the new logo and a bold "MEMBERSHIP" headline, anchored by the tagline Bridging History, Art and the American Experience. Organic curved shapes in the brand palette frame original photography I shot on site at the museum, giving the layout warmth without feeling too casual.
One intentional detail worth noting: the iconic Bronco Buster silhouette from the museum's previous logo was kept as a bullet point graphic throughout the interior. It was a quiet nod to the old brand, included specifically to ease the transition for longtime members, donors, and friends of the museum who have a strong connection to the original mark.
The interior manages a lot of information, including seven membership tiers, benefit breakdowns, Ingleneuk Club major donor levels, and a full registration and payment form, while staying readable and visually organized. Color coded section headers and clear typographic hierarchy walk the reader from general membership all the way through to the museum's most prestigious giving levels.
All photography featured in this brochure was shot by me.
America250: Remington's Impression on America — Campaign Materials
Print Design - Grant Compliance - Copywriting - Photography
Print Design - Grant Compliance - Copywriting - Photography
In 2026 the museum will unveil its most significant exhibition in recent memory, a complete reimagining of the main galleries timed to America's 250th anniversary. I designed the full suite of campaign materials to support both fundraising and public awareness around the grand opening on July 4th, 2026.
The trifold served as a broader community facing event announcement, promoting the concert, exhibition opening, and family programming tied to the celebration.
The mailer functioned as a major donor solicitation piece. The cover leads with a dramatic full page bronze sculpture against a watercolor flag treatment, establishing the tone before a single word is read. Inside, a donor pyramid outlines giving levels from $5,000 to $100,000, alongside a letter from the Executive Director and a clear call to action. This brochure was designed in compliance with strict I Love NY and MarketNY state tourism grant requirements, including regulated font sizing and trademark logo placement.
21st Annual Classic Golf Tournament
Print Design - Event Marketing - Brand Application
The golf tournament is one of the Museum's key annual fundraisers, bringing together sponsors and players from across the region for a full day of golf, fun, and food. The bifold brochure needed to work on two levels simultaneously: as a premium event invitation that made recipients want to attend, and as a functional sponsorship and registration document with a lot of logistical information to communicate.
The cover panel was designed with intention — the new Remington Museum of Art logo, elegant spaced typography building up to the bold event title, and a full bleed photograph of the golf course that does the emotional work of selling the experience. The goal was for someone to pick it up and immediately feel like this was an event worth their time and money.
The interior handles the heavy lifting: a full sponsorship tier breakdown from $250 Golf Cart Sponsor up to $7,500 Presenting Sponsor, a four player registration form, payment information, and event day logistics. A warm photo collage of past tournament participants runs down the left panel, grounding the piece in real community rather than stock imagery.
All photography featured in this brochure was shot by me during the 20th Annual Golf Tournament.
Art of Dining— Experiential Fundraising Series
Creative Direction - Copywriting - Graphic Design - Photography - AI Assisted Production
The Art of Dining is the museum's premier annual fundraising series, a collection of intimate hosted dining and social experiences held at private homes and venues across the North Country each summer. I serve as sole creative director and marketing lead for the series each year, concepting the theme, writing all copy, designing all materials, and producing supporting social media and email marketing.
For 2026 I built the campaign around the fictional persona of "Madame Vespucci," a character with a quiet connection to the museum's own history. The Parish Mansion, which serves as the museum's entrance, carries the legend of Ameriga, an Italian contessina whose lonely years in the mansion are rumored to have left a lingering presence behind. Naming the campaign's fictional society columnist after her was a deliberate nod to that lore, one that rewards those who know the mansion's stories while remaining accessible to everyone else.
Every piece of the campaign, the brochure, social posts, and email marketing, was written in the voice of Madame Vespucci's Society Papers, a fictional Regency era society column timed to launch alongside the new season of Bridgerton. The promotional image was self directed: I staged and photographed the printed brochures, then used AI assisted image generation to create the garden flat lay scene.
The 2025 season generated $7,800 across 72 ticket sales. The 2026 season has generated $6,867 in ticket revenue to date, and is still in progress as of this update.
Invitation to The Ingleneuk Club — Custom Shopify Landing Page
Shopify Development - Copywriting - Web Design - Photography - Video
The Ingleneuk Club is the Museum's most prestigious donor tier, welcoming patrons who give $1,000 or more annually toward preserving the art and cultural legacy of the North Country. I built this page entirely within Shopify using custom code, outside the standard e-commerce template, and wrote all copy from scratch.
The target audience shaped every word. Ingleneuk Club members are largely drawn from the local river community, families and individuals with deep roots along the St. Lawrence, a genuine connection to the region's history, and a personal stake in seeing its cultural institutions endure. The copy leans into that identity deliberately, grounding Remington's legacy in the landscape they already love.
The page opens with a flickering fire setting a dramatic and cozy mood in the background, followed by the line "You have been invited to take a seat by the fire", a reference to the meaning of Ingleneuk itself, a Scottish word for a fireside gathering place. From there the copy moves through the history of the region, Remington's lifelong connection to the St. Lawrence River, and what it means to carry that legacy forward. It reads like an invitation into something worth belonging to, not a pitch.
